    Festive Ice Skating

I don’t know about you but I get really excited about the ice skating opportunities around Christmas. If I was sportier, ice skating would be my number one choice of exercise as it’s fun, elegant and actually burns lots of calories! I love going to the pop up rinks around Christmas time and although I am not the best skater I really enjoy going! I used to own roller blades when I was little and so I think my inner child loves to skate.

    Mince Pies

You can’t go wrong with mince pies at Christmas so let’s start on a high and get baking! For these festive treats, I’ve used a Mary Berry recipe as inspiration but made a few changes. I didn’t make any mince pies last year and my first mince pie was Christmas Day so this year I’m making up for it! This is such a great one to make ahead and then warm up when you have guests coming around!

    Travel Makeup

I love wearing makeup but sometimes a lot of palettes can be big and bulky for travelling. I really wanted to find a few items that I could take away with me when I am limited on space and I found three beautiful pieces. The two blushers and eye shadow here are so neat with their own brushes inside and this is such an added bonus as it saves extra packing of makeup brushes!

    Vegetable ‘crumble’

    Vegetable ‘crumble’

I had a dish similar to this at a pub once and it was so yummy. So I wanted to recreate it at home. I remembered there was a paprika taste to it and so this was my main flavouring. I know what you must be thinking…. isn’t a crumble a dessert? Well technically yes, but I don’t see why we can’t eat it as a main dish too. Savoury flavours of course! I love the texture of this dish and I used almonds in my topping, along with some oats to give it an extra yummy taste.
