August has given us lots of sun, a heatwave, COVID updates, and lots of summer food and beauty. I feel like it has raced past. I must say the heatwave was a little challenging in London, but it did mean we could eat lots of ice lollies and sit on the balcony for dinner. How was your August? I have another monthly favourites blog post below featuring my top picks for August. I hope you enjoy the read!
FOOD
Rude Health Turmeric And Ginger Oaty Biscuits
These make the perfect snack on their own or with some nut butter drizzled on top. Yummy! So much healthier than normal biscuits and they taste amazing. Turmeric and ginger have amazing anti-inflammatory properties also! The biscuits are not too powerful in turmeric or ginger but they definitely have a great flavour.
Lorraine Pascale Recipe Book
I had forgotten how much I loved this book when I recently made some delicious chocolate cookies from it. Absolutely yummy! I love this book so much and it has some of my favourite recipes such as the chocolate fondant recipe and many great savoury dishes also!
LIFESTYLE
Paperchase Mindful Book
I have been starting using this mindful book from Paperchase lately. I received it as a present from my boyfriend and it is so lovely inside. There are lots of different pages with mindful activates to complete. I love how beautiful the whole book is too.
FASHION
Reiss White Shorts
I bought these last year, but they still sell them on the website, and I wear them so much that I bought another pair. I find it really hard to buy shorts that I like, and these are the perfect length. Not too short and airy enough for the hot summer days.
BEAUTY
The Body Shop Banana Hair Mask
I have been obsessed with this since using it. The smell is amazing, and it really does make my hair softer! I love it and would definitely recommend for really dry hair like mine!
Sukin Original Hydrating Toner
This is so refreshing and perfect for my sensitive skin. It is so affordable too!
Pureology Strength Cure Best Blonde
I use this as a heat protection spray, and it does the trick well. It leaves my hair softer afterwards and the ingredients are clean and natural.
WOW YOU! Super Serum
I love the use of blueberry in this serum as it gives a really fruity scent. It has loads of health benefits for the skin, such as the antioxidants and the use of skin brightening ingredients. I just love it!
Neal’s Yard Rehydrating Rose Daily Moisture
This cream is so light and yet lovely and soothing on the skin. I love the use of rose as it is great for sensitive skin like mine. A lovely brand too.
