Simple Makeup Look

Makeup does not always have to involve using lots of different products. For an everyday makeup look, I like to keep things simple. I thought I would share with you today a paired back makeup look that shows some effort without going over the top during the daytime. I hope you like this makeup look. I have only used a few products, so it is also quick for those in a rush on a weekday morning!

Base

For my base, I love using the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser. I use the shade Porcelain. The oil free formula creates a dewy finish. I love this glowy look to my makeup. The formula doesn’t fully cover your face as much as normal foundation. I would say it is much lighter and creates more of a “shield” so things like freckles can still be visible. However, it evens out the skin tone and makes the shade more consistent on your face. This, together with my concealer is a match made in heaven. For a concealer I use the Bourjois Radiance Reveal Concealer in the shade Light. I put some under my eyes and also on any blemishes. I use my fingers to blend in both the tinted moisturiser and the concealer as then I don’t have to wash a makeup brush! I also think it blends better. Handy tip is to keep a face cloth nearby so that you can wipe your makeup covered hands in between applying makeup items. After I have finished doing my makeup, I rinse the face cloth under the tap and leave it to dry. Then I stick it in the washing machine. This creates less waste and means my makeup items are not covered in lots of makeup!

Eyes

Now that the base of my makeup is done, I apply the Urban Decay Eye Shadow Primer in the shade Original to my eye lids. This helps my eye shadow stay on longer. My eyeshadow of choice is the Chopper shade in the Urban Decay Naked 2 Eyeshadow Palette. It is a gorgeous copper shade and it just looks like you have made a lot of effort when it took you just a few minutes. I cannot recommend the Urban Decay eye shadows more for staying power, formula and range of shades. They are just some of my favourite eyeshadows. To finish off the eyes, I applied the Clinique High Impact Eye Liner in Black to my top lash line. I then added my favourite Clinique High Impact Mascara in Black.

Brows

To finish off this makeup look, I used the Benefit Gimme Brow in the shade 1. This is a tinted eyebrow gel that sets the eyebrows. I love how the tint adds a bit more colour which helps to build up that brow look. Strong brows really make a difference to a makeup look.
