I’ve wanted to try a new SPF moisturiser for my face and so I thought I would turn to The Body Shop Skin defence Multi-Protection Essence SPF50. I’ve heard great things about this product and the UVA protection in this particularly ticked the boxes so I thought I would give it a go. Sun rays are so damaging to the skin and although we need our vitamin D we should always protect our skin. Find out my thoughts on the product below….
Keeping the UVA and UVB protection high is great if you are concerned about skin damage and ageing from the sun. That’s why SPF 50 and PA++++ is so great to see on the packaging. A big tick from me!
The formula itself is so light, almost like a silky consistency. I am dubious as to how this can provide such a good protection as it seems to spread out quite thinly. Nonetheless, I LOVE the feel on my face and it really does feel light and luxurious. I hate that sticky feel of an SPF but this is so comfortable on the skin. It sinks into the skin beautifully.
The cream contains red algae to brighten and antioxidant Vitamin C. This is great when exposed to pollution for example as it helps to calm the skin. The product claims to give a more luminous complexion and I have to agree, my skin looks glowy afterwards.
I’m on the fence about this product. I do love it but I personally like a thicker consistency to my sun cream to make me feel more reassured it is covering my face….
I’d be so interested to hear your thoughts on this face cream? Do you like the consistency of the formula? How much product do you apply to get a correct SPF coverage?
Is this a product you would try if you have not already?
