I finally unpacked my full makeup collection since moving home and this included my beautiful lipsticks… My Most Worn Lipsticks blog post went down pretty well and so I thought I would write an Autumnal lipstick post. I have been lazy in terms of wearing a lip colour of late and I wanted this post to be a celebration of lipsticks. I chose one for each day of the week to feel more Autumnal and more motivated with my makeup. Here are my Autumnal picks….
Clinique | Chubby Stick Intense Moisturising Lip Colour Balm 08 Grandest Grape
This rich plum pigmented moisturising balm is so perfect for Autumn! You have to be careful it doesn’t run when applying it but it produces such a lovely colour and is so soft on the lips. I much prefer moisturising formulas and this one is so creamy! This was a great one to start my week!
Nars | Honolulu Honey
Nars have some great makeup products out there and they are just an extremely reliable brand. The colour lasts pretty well and this rusty orange toned nude is perfect for a Tuesday. The colour screams Autumn and I really enjoyed wearing this.
Nars | Shrinagar
Back to a rich purple toned moisturising lipstick, I reached for my Nars Shrinagar. I love this one and it lasts well whilst fading subtly and so if you don’t have time to reapply it isn’t a disaster. I love the balmy feel of this one and the shape of the lipstick allows for easy application.
Rimmel | Kate Lasting Finish 38
My trusty Kate Lasting Finish 38 had to feature in this post. I was teaching on Thursday and so this subtle nude was perfect for that. The colour lasts well and so I didn’t have to worry too much about reapplication. I also adore the scent of this product… anyone else think so too?
Rimmel | Kate Lasting Finish 03
Friday meant another Nude and this softer colour is so beautiful. Again, a lovely formula and great longevity for a high-street lipstick! The shade of this is so elegant and understated.
Bobbi Brown | Creamy Matte Lip Colour Red Carpet 1
I chose a more vibrant red for the weekend. Reds can be great for any time of year and this deep coloured one from Bobbi Brown is just lovely. The formula is so creamy and yet the colour is so pigmented. I do however find I have to use a lip brush to apply it as the shape of the lipstick is hard to use. I also recommend using a lip liner to avoid bleeding of the pigment.
Rosie For Autograph | Nude Blush
Finishing the week in style, was this perfect Sunday Nude. Again, this colour had beautiful orange tones to it and the packaging is gorgeous. It feels sheer luxury to apply. The colour is so classy and the formula is velvet soft. I really recommend this lip product.
I hope you enjoyed this Autumnal post! What lipsticks do you rate at the moment?
