I put my hair up in this little hair style for a dinner date the other week and loved it so much that I thought I would blog about it so you can create it too, if you like. I love the subtle play on the side ponytail and braids always make a hairstyle more girly and sophisticated.
My hair is naturally wavy when brushed from its curly “left to dry” state. I started with a base of wavy hair and straightening the crown of my head to tame it slightly. If you want a few waves in your hair, you can either use curling tongs very briefly or leave your hair in plaits overnight.
Once the hair is prepped, scoop it to the side that you prefer. Brush any kinks out so that the crown is smooth. Take a bunch of hair from the outer part and plait it all the way down.
Then twist the plait around the rest of the hair to act as a hair band. Thread the end of the plait through the inside of the hair “band” and secure in place with a grip or two. Spray with hairspray to hold the look all evening.
I hope you liked this post and let me know what you think of this look? What are your super easy hairstyles that look great for an evening?
