Dining At Bluebird Chelsea

Bluebird Chelsea is one of my favourite hang outs in London. Not only is it featured on the likes of Made In Chelsea episodes, it is such a relaxing and superior social and foody venue. It used to be an art deco garage built for a motor company but now it is a stunning restaurant, bar, café and courtyard, food store and wine cellar. You could literally spend hours catching up with friends over luxurious food and drinks.

I recently went to explore the Weekend Brunch Menu at Bluebird with my friends and for £25 for 2 courses. It was definitely not too expensive, especially for the likes of London. Menus like this are a great way to try out the restaurant at a slightly more affordable price.

We all really enjoyed ourselves and the atmosphere was as relaxing as before. I had a sweet potato hash (with shiitake mushrooms, cavolo nero, and a poached egg). I also drank a refreshing watermelon juice with my meal. Everyone else went for the fabulous roast of beef, with all the trimmings! Definitely enough to feed a large family as they didn’t manage to finish the generous portion of vegetables and potatoes! The desserts were amazing and I had the Floating islands (with pink praline, raspberry, and basil). Floating islands are mini meringues in a sea of custard by the way! The meringue was divine. My friends also had either profiteroles or the amazing looking baked molten chocolate pudding. I was really impressed with the brunch menu and the portion sizes were very filling, especially for a superior restaurant.

I wrote a blog post about Bluebird Chelsea a while back, featuring pictures of their stunning afternoon tea and I also talked a little about their amazing cocktails (probably the best cocktails I’ve had in London). Check it out if you want to drool over the computer screen!
